Media & Performance

In addition to my marketing career, I co-host and co-executive produce a podcast and I enjoy performing as an actress on stage and in short films. This page delves into my podcast, my production experience, and showcases some of my recent acting projects.

Sitcom Queens, Podcast, 2025-Present

Sitcom Queens, hosted by myself and my friend Michaela Goodfellow, is a podcast where Michaela and I primarily discuss sitcoms and Disney Channel Original Movies (DCOMs), in addition to several special episodes that cover other genres and different mediums of entertainment.

As a Film and Media major, I primarily studied television, film, and digital media in college. I love consuming, learning about, and discussing sitcoms, DCOMS, and how nostalgia plays a role in these traditional forms of media and entertainment. We began working on the podcast in 2025 and released our first episode of Sitcom Queens in 2026, the year that several Disney Channel TV shows and movies celebrate their 20th anniversary. So many Gen Zers and Millennials find comfort in the nostalgia that these films and shows evoke, and Michaela and I couldn't think of a better time or year to launch our podcast that focuses heavily on many of Disney Channel's most iconic films and TV shows from the early 2000s.

One of the roles I perform on Sitcom Queens is Creative Strategist. As the podcast's Creative Strategist, I define the brand identity by designing the logo, defining visual aesthetics, and creating a brand style. I build the social media strategy with a focus on TikTok and Instagram content that drive engagement, as well as manage the production, editing, and posting calendars. This Creative Strategist position allows me to take what I am being taught in the classroom and what I learned in my previous work experiences and apply these lessons in the real world.

Behind-the-Scenes Experience

Below are a few examples of my work behind-the-scenes as a producer, director, screenwriter, and editor as well as a description of my production company.

Girlie Productions, Production Company, 2023-Present

I founded Girlie Productions in 2023 to produce the last two installments of A Hot Josh Holiday short film trilogy. In addition to producing A Hot Josh Christmas and A Hot Josh Easter, Girlie Productions is one of two production Companies that produces Sitcom Queens.

Executive Producer, Co-Host, Editor

As an Executive Producer, I manage the podcast's shooting, publishing, and editing calendar, create episode and film breakdowns, and upload and post every episode to our audio distribution channels (Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Amazon Music).

As a co-host, my other co-host, Michaela, and I alternate who performs the "primary host" duties every episode. When I assume the role of "primary host," I select a film or an episode of television to discuss on the podcast, lead the episode, and create the episode or film breakdown to guide the podcast's discussion.

As an editor, I listen and watch through every episode, making cuts and arrangements to ensure every episode has a natural flow.

A Hot Josh Holiday, Short Film Series, 2022-2024

Screenwriter, Director, Producer, Editor

As a screenwriter, I co-wrote the script for all three A Hot Josh Holiday short films. My writing partner and I created the concept for each film and wrote the first draft together. After completing the first draft, I refined and polished the screenplay before distributing the final draft to the cast and crew. I wrote four alternate endings for A Hot Josh Easter when actors' scheduling conflicts arose, making it impossible for the whole cast gather for the last scene.

As a director, I staged scenes, stunts, framed certain shots, and assisted in casting. Prior to shootdays, the cinematographer and I storyboarded important or technically challenging shots and scenes. When we had a photographer on set, I staged individual and group character photos, selfies, and photos of props and set decorations to use as BeReals.

As a producer, I managed the films' pre-production, production, and post-production calendars, communicated with actors, cinematographers, sound mixers, and other crew members to ensure everyone had the correct call times and the most up-to-date script pages ahead of each day's shoot. I also prepared the set before cast and crew arrived to shoot. Set preparation included cleaning, resetting props and set decorations to maintain continuity, and marking camera setups.

As an editor, I worked with the cinematographer to sift through each film's footage, select shots and takes to use for the final cut, insert looped audio, and watch every iteration of each film before publishing the finished, final version.
